Study: Blueberries "Reverse Memory Loss"; Food for the Brain

Blueberries for good memory and learning--Food for the BrainScientists, from the University of Reading, England, said that eating blueberries can activate the learning and memory of the person's brain. The researchers also believed that blueberries may possibly treat diseases like Alzheimer's.

Dr Jeremy Spencer, from the Department of Food Biosciences at University of Reading, said, "Scientists have known of the potential health benefits of diets rich in fresh fruits for a long time.

"Our research provides scientific evidence to show that blueberries are good for you and supports the idea that a diet-based approach could potentially be used to increase memory capacity.

"We will be taking these findings to the next level by investigating the effects of diets rich in flavonoids on individuals suffering from cognitive impairment and possibly Alzheimer's disease."

I know that because we have a blueberry farm. Hubby cured from having a symptom of cancer. if he did not eat blueberries everyday maybe today he already treated because of cancer.

I always thought peanuts were the ultimate brain food. Apparently, it turns out blueberries have taken the throne! :D ...sadly, they're not available here in the Philippines, or are they?
